1000 Books Before Kindergarten
In collaboration with Beene-Pearson Public Library in South Pittsburg, we are sponsoring 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, a nationwide reading challenge that encourages parents and caregivers to read to children ages 0 to 5 years. The program tracks the books read and provides rewards as each milestone is reached.
Marion County Friends Read
Friends of the Library provides book sets for checkout by any book club in the community. Each set contains 10 copies of a current title and a discussion packet. Book Club at the Library
Friends of the Library sponsors book clubs open to anyone in the community who enjoys meeting at the library to talk about a chosen book. Everyone is welcome at any and all book club meetings. Just sign up at the library corresponding to the book of your preference, read the book, and join the discussion!
